Class of 2015

Helena Lucas

Hi! My name is Helena. After graduating BISC I took a gap year and worked in an Augmented Reality enhanced board game start up and then in a web based student's portal. After that I did a bit of traveling around Europe.
This academic year I've started studying Computer Security and Forensics at Edinburgh Napier University. I love it!
International school prepared me well for the cocktail of cultures that Napier represents. I love Edinburgh!

Hello! After graduating from BISC, I started studying International Business and Management with Spanish in Newcastle, England. I am currently on my second year, however, on my 3rd year I will be heading to Colombia for a yearlong internship with UNICEF! Apart from my studies I got a new job and started training boxing.

I finished BISC one and a half years ago. Since then I took a gap year, retook my exams and went to study Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam. I plan to specialise in Economics and Finance from next year. Who knows what life will bring after my bachelor? I have some plans but as Machiavelli says, a part of our life is always in the hands of fortune. Dear reader, I think we will meet again another day. I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all my teachers at BISC that supported me during my time at the school. You are awesome people

After graduating from BISC, I moved to Rotterdam, the Netherlands and started my bachelor in International Business Administration at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

I am currently a second year student and apart from my business studies I am developing my interest in the business aspect of fashion brands. I am the President of the New Fashion Society. A student association based in Rotterdam, which has the aim of showing business students the job opportunities that the fashion industry holds. Additionally to my position as President, I work at my university as a mentor. I lead sessions for a group of 18 first-year students to help them transition from high school to university. In weekly classes we cover all topics concerning their studies, from ways of tackling exams to setting up personal goals.

BISC has taught me many life lessons and prepared me for university, allowing me to be in the position I am right now. I would like to warmly thank all my teachers who contributed to my education.
