Year 6 Mini Exhibition
„Look What I Can Do”

Our Year 6 mini exhibition, “Look what I can do”, was a chance for the children to show what they’ve been working on and how much they’ve grown as learners. It wasn’t just about having something nice on display — it was about the process: planning, creating, improving, and then having the confidence to share their learning with other people.
The exhibition brought together three different pieces of work: fraction art, an original poem, and a 3D model of an Ancient Rome monument. Each part showed a different side of the children’s learning. The fractions artwork demonstrated their maths understanding in a creative way. The poems showcased their voice as writers. The Roman monuments combined research, history knowledge, and careful design and making. To put it all together, the students needed a lot of skills that matter beyond the classroom. They had to work as a team, share jobs fairly, and keep each other on track. They had to manage their time, bring materials, and stick with tasks even when something didn’t go to plan. They also had to edit and improve their work, not just settle for “finished”. And on the day, they needed to be brave communicators — explaining their ideas, using the right vocabulary, answering questions, and speaking confidently to visitors. We’re really proud of the effort behind this exhibition. It showed creativity, resilience, organisation, and teamwork — and most of all, it showed children who are proud of what they can do.
