Polish Programme

Prywatne Gimnazjum Brytyjskie, ul. Smoleńsk 25 w Krakowie

A programme of lessons in accordance with Polish education law is provided for Polish citizens.  These are scheduled to ensure students receive a complementary balance of instructions in both the British and Polish systems.

Prywatne Gimnazjum Brytyjskie, ul. Smoleńsk 25 in Krakow is a private educational institution with public school rights.
Prywatne Gimnazjum Brytyjskie in Krakow, run by the British International School of Cracow Sp. z o. o., operates on the basis of a decision  from the NATIONAL MINISTRY FOR MINISTER EDUKACJI NARODOWEJ - DKOW.WOKO.5018A2014   dated 29 August 2014:
The approval of the Ministry means that we can combine school education in Polish with English language learning for children of Polish citizenship under the following conditions
The Gimnazjum (Middle School) implements educational programmes based on the Polish general education core curriculum for secondary schools and the English National Curriculum National Curriculum.
Educational activities in the Gimnazjum (Middle School) are taught in Polish and English.
The Gimnazjum  (Middle School) functions in a cycle not horter than in a public school, the total weekly compulsory teaching at the Gymnasium is the same as that established for public schools, except that in this case this consists of certain classes realised taking into consideration the Polish core curriculum established for Gimnazjum and taking into account the English National Curriculum.
The list of compulsory subjects is similar to the public school.
The Gimnazjum applies the principles of classification and promotion of pupils and conducts a examination of learning during the final year, according to the rules of public Gimnazja.
The Gimnazjum keeps records of the teaching process established for public schools.
The Gimnazjum employs teachers for the compulsory subjects who hold teaching qualifications specified for public school teachers.
Pedagogical supervision of the Gimnazjum, including the observance of the conditions above, is exercised by the Małopolski Kurator Oświaty.
The adopted form of teaching in the Gimnazjum allows Polish pupils, Polish pupils returning from abroad and children of non-citizens visiting from abroad, implementation of compulsory education by continuing school with a model of education, similar to that which was attended abroad.
